Sweet Lord Manson

Today I want to talk about Charles Manson. Everytime I listen a person say anything about him; I think that history was a little unfair with him.

Manson was born in 1934 and he was known by the whole world because he supposedly was the leader of the Manson Family, a satanic cult who committed several murders in the 60’s.

Charles Manson was convicted of a crime he did not commit.  He was sentenced to death, but this sentence was commuted in 1972.  Finally, he was sentenced to multiple life sentences and was never at the crime scene.

People said that in prison Manson became crazy, but he became a musician. His music is very strange, but his lyrics are pretty good. This part of him even influenced a musician like Guns and Roses, System of a Down and of course Marilyn Manson.

 Now he is arrested in California Medical Facility, in Vacaville. His most recent public appearance was in 1987 on television, he claimed he had nothing to regret.

The return of S.O.A.D.

I like this photograph... if you can only see four guys that is because you don't know who they are. They are System of a Down and this photograph was taken by Greg Waterman, the band's official photographer.

In the photograph you can see the Tsar’s castles in Moscow, in front of it are the members of the band standing on the street, like The Beatles did on Abbey Road. It was taken in September of 2010 when the band decided to return after the “hiatus” that they took in 2006.   

Finally, this photograph became the poster of their world tour that in October of 2011 brought them to Chile, this fact made it my favorite photograph. Before the concert I was at the hotel, I met the drummer, John Dolmayan, and Greg Waterman. It was great because we, the people that were there, were photographed by the same photographer of our idols.

Music

I will talk about music. Platón said “the music is to the soul what gymnastics for the body”, but I think that it is wrong, the music is more important than everything. Is very difficult to me think the life without music. I couldn’t…

Always, even when you are an unborn, you are listening… you are listening the world. It is really interesting to me; know for example how to influence the music in the development of children. However, time ago I listened on Tv a report, it’s said that Mozart effect’s isn’t real.

After I read an article in the web that said “the music is very important during the first years, childhood is a complicated moment of our life and children are searching how to be themselves”. Well,  is only an article on internet, but I prefer think that.      

       

My recorder

I hate technology… Well, I think that technology is not the problem; the problem is that I don’t know how to use it.

But, if I must choose my favorite piece of technology, I would probably say it is my recorder.  The first time I used it, I didn’t understand anything, not even how to turn it on. It really was a disaster because when I bought my recorder I needed to use it the same day.

Finally, after many attempts, I was able to turn on my recorder, but the next problem came when I wanted to  turn it off.
